If you can never get enough of cyberpunk, you should take a closer look at Anomaly Agent With a 97 percent approval rating, the 2D platformer on Steam is generating a lot of enthusiasm. You fight and shoot your way through neon, rocked-out neighborhoods, listen to driving synthwave sounds and even influence the progression of the plot with your decisions.

Writer’s Rush tackles an unfamiliar setting: You are writers, creating your own artist. You write novels and compete with other writers for fame and money

In addition to your work, you have to deal with fan and angry letters, can unlock different typewriters, use different genres and measure your success against market performance. In the end, you’ll have to beat a certain Wally Mad Dog Shakespeare to be crowned a writer.

Phantom Abyss

Platformers don’t always have to come in plain 2D, Phantom Abyss lets you clamber, jump and tumble through levels in 3D. Special twist: You can use phantom figures in the levels to see what other players have failed (and died) at in order to avoid repeating their mistakes as much as possible.

In the trailer above, you can see that Phantom Abyss is reminiscent of a best-of of the most dangerous escape scenes from Indiana Jones. Speaking of Indy, have you seen the new game yet?

Psychopomp

In Psychopomp you discover that there are mysterious catacombs beneath every house. And because you are curious by nature, you set out to explore them. Horror is written in capital letters here. The whole thing is based on a 32-bit style that was common in the era of the first PlayStation

Lil’ Guardsman

You surely know Papers, Please. Lil’ Guardsman is similar, but less dark and cuter. As a 12-year-old, you have to guard a castle gate and decide who is allowed into the city and who is not. To do this, you will question goblins, sinister-looking figures and nice little grandmothers. All with the aim of averting evil and supporting good. With a good dose of humor.

If you don’t know Papers, Please, you can read our review from 2013 above. It’s a so-called serious game and a very uncomfortable piece of art at that.
