Skullgirls Marie Releases on Steam

Skullgirls is one of the older fighters still played at major fighting game esports events, and there’s good reasons that it’s still a big game. The title has a lot going for it particularly in how often it’s still getting updated. it is impressive that Skullgirls still getting new character releases. The most recent of these is Skullgirls Marie, a brand-new fighter coming to the title. Or one that’s already here if you’re part of a smaller group of Skullgirls players.

Marie is actually playable now, in the early access form. Or, they are if you’re on a particular platform. Players who are playing the fighting game on Steam will have access to Skullgirls Marie starting now if they have the Season 1 Pass. This is how the new character’s addition will work.

Skullgirls Marie Releases

Marie is a new character coming to Skullgirls. They’re from the Canopy kingdom and have a bit more going on with their backstory than most characters. They’re using a small skeletal minion in-game too.

Skullgirls Marie will unlock for everyone playing the fighting game on Steam provided you’ve got the Pass Already. This is essentially the test build of the character though. Nothing is set in stone about how they’ll play and they could change a bit before more general release. Trying characters out early like this is a nice bonus for players. On other platforms there’s a bit of a delay.

Even with quite a few characters in the game already, new releases like Skullgirls Marie are still showing there’s room for innovation with the game’s characters though. Skulllgirls has a few tournaments coming up. A new character like this won’t be playable from the very start. However, over the coming months we’ll likely see players break down the character in more detail. Eventually once added to competitive releases, the Skullgirls Marie character could go on to be one of the better characters to play in events.
