One of the biggest fighting game esports events for the year is about to start back up, East Coast Throwdown 2023. This huge event has major competitions for most of the biggest fighting games. We’ll see tournaments for impressive new releases like SF 6 and Mortal Kombat 1, but also fresh outings for a bunch of lesser seen fighters. Quite a few of the tournaments here are going to be a part of a bigger circuit too, as qualifiers for end of year Grand Finals. What can we expect at East Coast throwdown 2023? East Coast Throwdown 2023

The East Coast Throwdown tournament is a fighting game event taking place over October 20-22. It’s all happening in Stamford, with one of the bigger events for the East Coast here. Most of the games being played will be done with an opening round of pools followed by a final bracket. Which titles are going to be at East Coast Throwdown 2023 though?

Those are all the titles over the weekend. It’s nice to get bigger events for some of the older fighters. A few of these like the earlier SFs don’t get featured as widely anymore, but they’re among the best fighting games of all time. It’s always fun to see some extra outings for them.

The East Coast Throwdown MK 1 event is particularly interesting as it’s a part of the MK Pro Kompetition. That’s the brand-new circuit for the game. The FighterZ event is also part of the DBFZ World Tour, plus KoF will form a part of the SNK World Championship.

There are quite a few major tournaments that we’re going to see at East Coast Throwdown 2023. These will be a highlight for fighting game fans over the weekend.
