CS2 Roster Updates 2023 | Confirmed Changes and Rumors

It’s that time of year again – many of the CS2 rosters look to be making changes for the new game, with the rumor mill in full swing. We’re here to show you the moves that have been made so far, as well as those rumored on the grapevine!

Confirmed CS2 Roster Changes

Heroic

After benching their AWP and IGL in cadiaN, Heroic went ahead and replaced him with… neither of those things. Now, dupreeh has a winning pedigree as a five-time Major winner, but he isn’t a role fit for what Heroic needs right now. Presumably, stavn will take the AWP and sjuush will fill in as IGL. For now, dupreeh’s contract is only confirmed until the end of 2023, to help Heroic see out the final CS2 tournaments of the year. It keeps him in good stead for the first CS2 Major in Copenhagen, though.

Ninjas in Pyjamas

A period of failure for NIP has seen them pull es3tag off the bench after 10 months of inactivity. As they look to qualify for the first CS2 Major, hampus is the victim here, but realistically it could have been any of k0nfig, Brollan, or REZ benched. Is this a roster that can challenge for CS2 tournaments yet though? Only time will tell.

Rumored CS2 Roster Changes

Falcons

+NiKo +m0NESY +Magisk +Snappi

After Falcons used its deep pockets to lure legendary coach zonic into the fold, their intentions were revealed. Ever since, the rumor mill has been nonstop, linking every big-name player with a move to the Saudi Arabian team. NiKo and m0NESY are the two most prevalent names, the duo clearly a package deal at G2. Magisk’s contract situation at Vitality and Snappi’s success at ENCE have seen them become frontrunners to join one of the most exciting potential CS2 rosters possible.

FaZe

–karrigan –Twistzz –ropz –broky –rain

Complexity’s parent company, GameSquare, recently confirmed its purchase of FaZe, to go through later this year. This creates a clear conflict of interest that won’t be allowed to stand. Current rumors suggest the current FaZe roster will be auctioned off one by one, to different teams around the world. If true, it’s a sad end to one of the great CS teams.

Liquid

If these recent Liquid CS2 roster rumors come to fruition, the NA team are back. Rumor has it that this will be cadiaN’s project, beginning with the signing of Twistzz from FaZe. Liquid is his old team, so it’s certainly possible. Backed up by Brazilian talent skullz, this Liquid roster would be eligible for the Americas RMR, giving them an easier path to every CS2 Major too.
