This week’s conversation in Smash has been dominated by Nintendo making it harder to hold tournaments. While many organizers are looking for licences with the new Smash tournament guidelines, some actual events are still taking place! The biggest this weekend is Let’s Make Moves Miami 2023. The American tournament is starting up now and running through till the end of the weekend.

The Florida Major is one of the biggest in the month for Smash Bros. There are two big tournaments taking place here Super Smash Bros Melee and Smash Bros Ultimate. Both will receive major events over the weekend. How will everything work and who are the players most worth watching here?

Super Smash Bros Melee at Let’s Make Moves Miami 2023

Just off the heels of the Big House 11, we’re getting a new Melee tournament at Let’s Make Moves. This is definitely the smaller of the two tournaments, but there are some great players turning up. For the singles, we’ll see a prize pool of $840 and $110 for the doubles. There are just under 100 players showing up, including Zuppy, N0ne, and more.

Smash Bros Ultimate

Melee might be running at Let’s Make Moves Miami 2023, but Ultimate is definitely the bigger side. It has got a $5,805 prize pool plus the top placing player will earn their spot at Watch the Throne. Most of the biggest players in Smash are turning up for this event.

We’re going to see Sparg0 show up, one of the best Smash players of the last two years. There’s also MKLeo, maybe the best Smash Ultimate player in its first few years. Plus, Sonix, Tweek, Riddles, and Light. This is one of our more stacked rosters for Ultimate.

The whole tournament for Smash Melee and Ultimate will be taking place over the weekend. You can catch all of the action on the official stream to see who claims victory at Let’s Make Moves Miami 2023.
