A new fighting game esports event has been announced this week. It might not technically be a brand-new series, but the news that we’re getting TNS 9 CEO Never Sleeps definitely shows the strength of the competitive fighting games right now. While some areas of esports are retracting with changes to sponsorships, it feels like the FCG are systems go right now. With major new releases and circuits going on, there’s no better time to announce a returning tournament.

The TNS series of events are making a comeback in 2024. Their newest event will be TNS 9, with a subtitle of CEO Never Sleeps. It’s a new event coming to Tampa Never Sleeps. How will this brand-new event work though?

TNS 9 CEO Never Sleeps

TNS 9 is going to be a new tournament following up on the older series. The Tampa Never Sleeps org has been involved in quite a few tournaments. However, this new event marks an expansion from them in recent years. TNS 9 is following in the footsteps of CEOtaku, taking their old home in Wyndham Orlando Resort. This will technically be the ninth TNS event, but it looks bigger than ever. It’s their first time hosting their own offline event in four years! It looks like they’re pulling out all of the stops.

Along with its home in a well-known venue, they’re promising the events venue will be open 24 hours, it’ll feature Karaoke and even a spelling bee. What about the fighters though? We already know they’re covering some of the biggest and best fighting games. These are the tournaments announced so far.

Those are just some of the highlights already shown off though. There are quite a few more games coming including some older or more niche titles. It’s going to be a tournament with a decent number of fun anime fighting games too, living up to the standard set by CEOTaku. The whole event is going down in March and it looks set to be an exciting addition to our roster of tournaments.
