In Modern Warfare 3, a new feature was introduced that has players up in arms. It’s not the most user-friendly aspect of the game, and it has irritated some of the players who perhaps aren’t playing the game on the regular. It’s the ‘MW3 daily challenges’ feature, and it’s a mechanic that sees countless items ‘locked’ behind walls that are only opened up if the player logs in regularly and completes daily challenges.
That might not sound so bad, but Sledgehammer Games has hidden some of the most cherished items – like the Slate Reflector Optic – behind these walls. If you’re not getting on daily and chasing these challenges, there are items that you might never unlock in this ‘armoury’ that’s contained within the multiplayer platform. Also, there’s a troubling MW3 daily challenges bug that’s doing the rounds, blocking people from properly progressing with these tasks.
It’s a sour situation, indeed.
What Are Daily Challenges In MW3?
It’s like it says on the tin – it’s a daily challenge. Every day, the list will reset, giving players three (or more) new challenges to complete, and they can honestly be anything. They can include getting headshots with a certain weapon to flashing a certain number of players in a series of matches. It’s a diverse spectrum, and completing these challenges will let you unlock everything from weapons and equipment to attachments and camos.
Basically, you’ll ‘trigger’ the armoury unlock you want to aim for, complete challenges against it, and if you’re successful, then you unlock it forever. It’s that simple, but it’s unwanted – players just want to unlock things by, you know, playing the game. It’s adding an unnecessary level of complexity to the game and further pushing away the more casual competitors.
So, what’s this about a MW3 daily challenges bug?

‘Daily Challenges Not Working on MW3’
It’s one of the most common points raised by concerned COD fans at the moment. There’s a bug that’s stopping daily challenges from being completed; there’s a glitch that somehow stops tasks from progressing, no matter how much effort you put in. Simply, the counter that racks up kills or actions or requirements will stop – or go backwards entirely, removing your progress.
Unfortunately, there’s very little you can do at the moment. It has been suggested that the problem with MW3 daily challenges getting stuck is being caused by a server-side issue, so there’s nothing that you can do from your own home — unless you work for Sledgehammer Games or something. If there’s one thing that you can attempt, you could try closing down your game and restarting it, and perhaps power-cycling your router at the same time.
It’s not guaranteed to work, but it’s better than nothing.
Hopefully, Sledgehammer Games will hear the feedback of concerned fans the world over and decide to implement a fix to address the MW3 daily challenges bug.
