The LEC will welcome a new rookie support: French player Théo “Zoelys” Le Scornec is going to be a starter on Infinite Reality’s team.
Zoelys will be making the jump from EMEA Masters to LEC
According to a report by Sheep Esports, Zoelys has reached a verbal agreement with Infinite Reality’s Team in the LoL EMEA Championship (LEC), making him yet another player rising up from the ERL ecosystem to the premiere European league.
In 2023, Zoelys played in the LFL as the starting support for LDLC OL for both splits, winning the domestic title in Spring and finishing in the top 8 at EMEA Masters Spring. Despite the strong start, the team fell apart in Summer, finishing 9th in the standings. Around the same time, LDLC OL announced the end of their partnership with French football club Olympique Lyonnais and their exit from the esports scene, leaving Zoelys teamless after the end of the 2023 season.
He was briefly picked up by Karmine Corp to play in the Coupe de France, alongside veteran player Jiizuke and head coach Yamatocannon, who is set to become the head coach for the KCorp team in 2024.
Zoelys was a hot agent in the offseason
Zoelys was one of the most contested support players in this offseason, according to Sheep Esports. Worlds participant Fnatic considered him as a possibility before locking in Korean import Jun. Karmine Corp, on the other hand, planned to add him to the starting roster in their LFL Academy team.
Instead, he’s likely going to team up with ADC player Comp, who is still under contract with the organization until the end of 2024. Paired with Larssen’s reported renewal, as well as Markoon’s addition to the roster, Infinite Reality’s LEC team is slowly finishing up the pieces of its lineup. Below is how the roster is shaping up for next year:
Top: Szygenda*
Jungle: Markoon
Mid: Larssen
ADC: Comp*
Support: Zoelys
*: Not confirmed but still contracted to the organization.
