After working together on MAD Lions, head coach Mac and assistant coach Pad will continue collaborating together on Team Vitality in 2024.

Mac is set to be the team’s head coach. Pad and Carter will assist him.

Coaches James “Mac” MacCormack and Patrick “Pad” Suckow-Breum have reached verbal agreements with Team Vitality in the LoL EMEA Championship (LEC), according to a report by Sheep Esports. The duo has been working since the 2021 season on MAD Lions and they will extend their tenure going into the next season.

It was also reported that the agreement with head coach Mac is set to last for 3 years in what is looking like a commitment to his services going forward. Mac started coaching at the start of 2018, with this being the first time he has changed teams ever since he joined the LEC. He is known to be one of the best coaches in the EMEA circuit, having brought up MAD Lions to several great results, including the latest LEC Spring title this year.

Pad joined in 2021 as an assistant coach and recently became the interim head coach at Worlds 2023 due to Mac being unavailable for personal reasons. He will now go back to being an assistant/strategic coach on Team Vitality, working closely with Mac to ensure the new lineup delivers.

The two coaches also reunite with their 2023 bottom lane

Mac and Pad will also see two familiar faces on the Vitality lineup: the organization is reportedly picking up both Carzzy and Hylissang as they will be VIT’s new bottom lane going into 2024. Alongside Korean top laner Photon and Polish jungler Daglas, the org will have a revamped roster. The only missing piece is the mid lane role, as VIT has yet to confirm who it is.
