Fortnite OG has brought the game’s classic build back, but what about other elements of the game? We’ve seen the Fortnite OG map pretty well recreated, but other aspects like OG Fortnite music are important too. Just because we’ve got the original map build back, it doesn’t mean everything the game. We’ve already noticed a few changes like the ice cream truck losing its thousands of hit points, and new rift in events. What about Fortnite OG music?

There’s two different ways we can look at the music in Fortnite. There are the random cues that happen as you’re in-game, which is down to Epic. Then there’s the lobby tracks where you can control what music plays. There is a way to use the Fortnite OG music in the lobby too to complete your OG Fortnite experience!

Fortnite OG Music

Fortnite OG music to a lot of players is the music we first heard during Season 1. In terms of the smaller noises that the game makes, everything had roughly been rolled back its original form. The cues for items, weapons, and in-game notifications all seem to have been reset with the Fortnite Chapter 1 music.

If you’re looking at experience in the lobby though, things are different. Epic gives you cosmetic items of Fortnite lobby music. This means you can set the music you’ll hear in the menus. We often get different music tracks depending on the season, with the songs unlocked in that Fortnite Battle Pass. Some of these songs originate as Fortnite OG music and you’ll recognise them as the default tracks from earlier seasons.

If you want to hear the OG music, you’ll need to get a specific item to play in your locker! You can select it as you’re finding your best Fortnite OG skins to wear in a round.

OG Track Item

In the music section of your locker, you’ll be able to select which music you play. One of the music tracks if called OG “Classic”. This is the OG music most players best remember from the early seasons. It was available through a battle Pass, but not the one for Fortnite OG. Instead, it was part of Season X.

As we left Chapter 1, even got the default lobby music as a prize for playing in this early season. It hasn’t been available since this Fortnite season ended! If you want to play the Fortnite OG music, you had to be in the game back then. Unfortunately, those jumping into the game new for this Fortnite OG season won’t be getting the original lobby track back. Everyone else can dive back in and relive Chapter 1 complete music though.
