Brawlhalla is one of the biggest fighters to feature crossovers, regularly bringing in outside characters. Their latest addition is giving recent release NASB 2 a run for its money, bringing in SpongeBob Brawlhalla characters. This latest crossover events will arrive with the underwater cartoon’s three most iconic characters. A recent dev stream has covered just what we’re going to see from the SpongeBob Brawlhalla crossover, including a step up for Brawlhalla crossovers overall.

SpongeBob Brawlhalla Crossover

The new dev stream has detailed quite a few new items coming in the crossover. For a start, there’s a brand-new map. No prizes for guessing what’s been chosen to represent SpongeBob in the game though, it’s Bikini Bottom. We’re getting a map that shows off quite a few of the iconic locales from the show. It also renders the world in the recognisable style of SpongeBob SquarePants which is a nice contrast to the rest of Brawlhalla.

The next new item is one that’s likely to be in the store, a new sidekick the Flying Dutchman. The ghost character is one of the more recognisable from SpongeBob outside of the main cast. The next item is perhaps the biggest from the SpongeBob Brawlhalla crossover, the skins.

Brawlhalla will be getting three new skins, SpongeBob, Patrick Star, and Sandy the Squirrel. These three characters will each be on the new Crossover tier. This means they’ll be skins that feature even more changes, with new animations and even a new light attack. This tier seems to be halfway between having a dedicated Brawlhalla Legend and a skin, a nice step up for the crossover.

The new SpongeBob Brawlhalla crossover is scheduled to release at the end of the month, coming November 29th. It’s impressive that this crossover is birthing a new tier for this style of item which is letting crossover skins step further into being their own characters. It’ll be exciting to see where Brawlhalla takes this new approach and tier in the future.
