Mortal Kombat 1’s first addition in DLC fighters has hit the game, Omni-Man. We’ve got a decent amount of content with the new fighter. He’s been a fun addition to the MK 1 roster. What could have been though? Always an interesting topic in gaming and dataminers have already discovered something which was once planned for the game, a scrapped Omni-Man Kameo Kill.
Coming earlier in the month, Omni-Man has been a fun addition. While a bit on the pricier side, his unique fatalities and other aspects have livened up the roster. While he did come with some impressive moves, another addition has been found scrapped in the files. What is the missing content that’s been discovered and how does it differ from what we actually got from the character?
Mortal Kombat 1 Scrapped Omni-Man Kameo Kill Found
While datamining the latest addition to the Mortal Kombat characters, players have something unique. References within the files to a new Kameo kill have been discovered. On a trail of something interesting, Thethiny, a Mortal Kombat 1 dataminer, has gone deeper to try and find out what this was. Now detailed in full videos showing off the bones of the animation.
Digging deeper into the game, they’ve been able to find some aspects of this Kameo Kill. It’s an animation where Omni-Man tries to grab a kameo, once he gets a hold of them they can become a shield or be wielded defensively.
Along with using it to defend or attack, players can then toss the kameo aside. It seems this attack was a planned or alternative version, or possibly even a move that’s yet to be activated. While it does seem fairly well polished, the animation is rough in some places. It isn’t the cleanest fullest render of Omni-Man. Although, we’re getting a fairly good look at how the animation would work.
Players might not be able to use Omni-Man’s Kameo Kill in the final character but he’s still a well-developed fighter. We have quite a few more MK 1 DLC characters to come. If they can keep the standard up, Mortal Kombat 1 could definitely rise up the list of the best fighting games like the series’ past instalments.
