Fortnite Tomato Head is one of the game’s most iconic characters. A fast food mascot with a giant cartoon tomato for a face, this guy has become a bit more than just another Fortnite skin. He’s had POIs in the game, restaurants, a temple, and a few variations over the years too. He’s one of the key characters people think of when they think of Fortnite, he’s also been out of the actual item shop for some time now. As is often the case with Epic’s more iconic Chapter 1 characters, they’ve chosen to bring him back sparingly. He’s one of quite a few major Chapter 1 skins to make a surprise return in Fortnite OG though.

Fortnite Tomato Head Returns to Item Shop

Fortnite Tomato Head is back in the OG item store at the moment. For the current season, we’re getting Chapter 1 themed skins back much more regularly. Most recently, this has included the return of Fortnite’s sauciest restaurateur.

Who is Tomatohead?

Fortnite Tomato Head is one of the more recognisable characters in the game. He was first added in during Season 3 of the first Chapter. That makes him one of the older characters from all Fortnite seasons. He was one of the more audacious looks Epic had added at that point. His hitbox was an initial source of controversy. Although, these days with giant-headed characters a common occurrence in Fortnite, most players are aware of how they work.

Another factor in Tomatohead’s popularity is how much of an impact he’s had on the world of Fortnite. Tomatohead has had a few of the game’s skins themed after him, including a female version called Crustina. He’s also the mascot and owner of one of the island’s restaurant, which has seen multiple locations and POIs themed around Tomatohead.
