You can hardly make it more difficult for yourself in a role-playing game than to fight a boss with a retinue using only Shadowheart and the Tactician difficulty level

The boss Yurgir in Baldur’s Gate 3 is not exactly easy to defeat, especially when he surprises you: Then you not only have to deal with the Orthon himself, but also with a Deception Beast and his entire retinue. It doesn’t help that Yurgir is throwing bombs around in the meantime either

The streamer Luality is not intimidated by this, on the contrary: In a video, she shows how she defeats the boss and his allies, on Tactician difficulty and without a companion.

Turning the tables

Before the battle begins, Luality gains a decisive advantage: Instead of running into Yurgir’s ambush, she sneaks up on the boss and his henchmen from the other side. Invisible, she gets within range and then lets Shadowheart beat up the Orthon surprisingly quickly with his bare hands so that he can’t react at all:

The difficult and longest part of the fight only begins afterwards, however, as Luality now has to finish off the Deception Beast and the eight Merregon. The latter attack in both melee and ranged combat, which makes the task even more difficult. She therefore starts by hypnotizing most of the enemies and then takes them down one by one.

In the end, things get pretty close, as four of the Merregon surround her and almost finish her off. In the end, however, Luality emerges victorious from the battle. She did have a little help, but not from a whole companion …

Have you already defeated Yurgir? How did you go about it and what cunning tactics did you use? Or have you even survived the encounter with the Orthon without a fight and persuaded him with your silver tongue? Which boss fight have you had the most trouble with so far?
