The Game Awards 2023: What we know so far

The gaming community is eagerly awaiting the Game Awards 2023. Who will win in the categories? What else will there be to see and when can you even tune in? We answer some of these questions  

First of all, we have to talk about the problem with the time zones. Because even though posters are talking about December 7, they are referring to local time in Los Angeles. If you want to watch the Game Awards 2023 in this country, you have to watch it on December 8 at 1:30 am  So night owls will get their money’s worth.

The nominees of the Game Awards 2023

The nominees for the Game Awards 2023 have also been announced. You can vote for your favorites in the 31 categories on the corresponding website.
The coveted Game of the Year trophy can go to the following titles this year:

Baldur’s Gate 3 is the favorite of this year’s Game Awards. The role-playing game was not only a hit with the masses, but was also very well received by the trade press. The biggest competition could come from Tears of the Kingdom. After all, the latest installment in the Legend of Zelda series has been eagerly awaited for a long time and generated a corresponding amount of hype on release.

What else is there to see?

The Game Awards have always been more than just an awards gala. Of course, many studios also use this event to show news about previously announced games or to unveil completely new titles.

This year, for example, Rockstar is expected to make an appearance with GTA VI. The release announcement of the Elden Ring DLC is also expected. Apart from that, however, it’s extremely speculative, so perhaps it’s best to let ourselves be surprised.
