Apex Legends is about to gear up for its fourth year of major esports. The ALGS Year 4 will be the height of competitive play for the Battle Royale. Each year we see a bigger level of competition, with the best Apex Legends players taking part throughout the year. This time it’s going further, with more than $5,000,000 in prize money at stake. It’ll be organized around three different LANs and we’ve had the full ALGS 2024 teams getting announced this week as part of a new program.

This time there’s a partner program running, which will see the big teams confirmed ahead of time. The third year of Apex Legends esports saw TSM take the win. Next year will see three different LAN events take place. Each is a different split. We’ve got the Split 1 Playoffs, the Split 2 playoffs, and then the Championship itself at the end of the year. Who are the teams we’ll see competing for the ALGS year 4 though?

ALGS Year 4 Teams Launching Partnership Program

The major change for the ALGS 2024 teams is the partnership program. In a departure for Apex Legends esports, EA is working directly with some of the biggest teams. This will see teams receive an invite directly to the major events. These are the teams we’re seeing included in the ALGS Year Four Teams in the program.

The partnered teams are getting picked out from those who have previously performed well in the ALGS, along with major orgs in regions the program is expanding into. This new system will allow EA to support some teams directly with a financial stipend. All of this should help to keep big orgs committed to Apex Legends as it enters its biggest year to date.

While the biggest orgs have just had their slots in ALGS Year Four confirmed, others are already competing. Qualifiers in the preseason have started up already to narrow down an extra set of teams in each region. These will join with the ALGS 2024 Teams to complete each split. We’ll get to see all of this in action very soon, when Split One starts in January 2024.
