Deus Vult’s Carl “Karvi” Tinio and Mathaios “Kid Bomba” Chatzilakos are both thankful for their M5 experience despite falling short and being eliminated from the tournament by Blacklist International’s three-game sweep to win the lower bracket semifinals.

Their run ended, but it was a great showcase for their entire region and both Europe and CIS as a whole.

Karvi still thankful for Deus Vult’s M5 run

Speaking exclusively with Esports.net, Karvi cited what happened to their team in the match against Blacklist, with him mentioning that they “did their best,” but they “could’ve done a lot better.”

“I mean, we did our best, that’s for sure. But it’s not the game or series that we wanted. Like Kid (Bomba) said earlier, we lost ourselves in the games. We could’ve done a lot better. Coach also said that this wasn’t us, we played and did bad. But Blacklist is such a strong team, so we tried our best and that’s good.”

Deus Vult failed to repeat the reverse sweep that they did last night against Cambodia’s See You Soon. They will finish in fourth, which is the team’s highest placement so far in the M-Series ever since they began joining MLBB tournaments in 2019.

When asked about his message to the growing MLBB community in Deus Vult’s home region of EECA/CIS, Karvi is grateful for the community’s support to his team.

“All I want to say is we did it guys. Me and Kid (Bomba), hopefully we will get what we always wanted since day one. That is to be seen as well like in the other regions. And I want to say I love you guys and thank you all for your support.”

DeVu Kid Bomba: “AP. Bren will win M5.”

Kid Bomba confidently answered the questions from the press after their tournament run ended.

When asked about who he thinks will win M5, Kid Bomba did not hesitate to say that AP.Bren is his pick to be the M5 champion, even though he may not have a reason for why he chose the Filipino squad.

“I think Bren because I think they have..I don’t know but just Bren.”

His teammates were also asked about their picks to be the M5 champion. All of them answered the same, and they think AP.Bren will win this year’ edition of the M-Series.

With DeusVult and Blacklist International now both out of contention in M5 World Championship, only two teams representing two countries remain to battle it out.

AP.Bren and Onic Esports meet for the second time, after the first bout went to Onic.
