Arkane Lyon, the studio behind the successful DEATHLOOP and Dishonored titles, is working on a brand new third-person adult game based on the popular comic book hero Blade. The collaboration between Bethesda Softworks, Marvel Games and Arkane Lyon was created to celebrate Blade’s 50th birthday. Bill Rosemann, the Vice President and Creative Director at Marvel Games, emphasizes the special fit of this project, as Arkane Lyon represents uncompromising innovation in game design. The game, which has just begun development, promises a unique storyline fused with Arkane Lyon’s immersive gameplay and world-class storytelling expertise.

Dinga Bakaba, Game Director at Arkane Lyon, shares his personal connection to Blade due to their shared mixed heritage. He sees the collaboration as the fulfillment of a dream, as it offers the opportunity to add his own creative twist to the character. Players can look forward to slipping into the skin of Blade and going on a vampire hunt in the city of Paris, Bakaba’s hometown

Marvel’s Blade transports players to a secluded area of Paris terrorized by vampires. The City of Lights is haunted by a supernatural threat that forces residents to barricade themselves in at night and wait for the sun to rise. Sébastien Mitton, Co-Creative and Art Director at Arkane Lyon, highlights Blade’s iconic style and sees the project as the perfect opportunity to take Arkane’s design style in an even more modern and bold direction. With a mix of groundbreaking ideas and innovative know-how, Arkane Lyon’s Blade game promises a unique and immersive gaming experience.
