Smash Bros has a base roster which stretches to over 70 characters. It’s a sizeable number of fighters but we got even more continued DLC afterwards. Steve arrived around the middle of all these additions. His inclusion saw Smash Bros embracing a different side of the gaming compared to the stone-cold classics we usually saw before this. The character was a popular pick though, representing one of the best-selling games ever made.

The DLC pack for Steve included the character, but quite a bit of other content. Different characters in Minecraft were available as alternative skins for the character. You can unlock everything once you get to the DLC. Steve, an Enderman, has loads of Minecraft characters. They all have the same moveset but it helps to add variety.

That’s the case for the current version of Smash. It could change in the future though. A Smash Bros Ultimate edition including all of its DLC wouldn’t be too strange of an idea.
