Super Smash Bros Ultimate has an enormous roster but one of the more interesting characters isn’t from the DLC or a crazy crossover inclusion. Instead, he’s from the perfect attendance set that we’ve had around since the very first Smash Bros, Link. If you look into the best Link combos in Smash Ultimate, it becomes clear just how much further this character can go in Ultimate.

Link might have been around since the origin of the series, but he’s had big changes in Ultimate’s roster. Most of the original Smash characters now have fairly outdated movesets, owing to developers choosing to stick with their well-liked moves rather than revamp them to match the polish of the new inclusions. Link was an exception to this though, seeing a full remake to better match his Breath of the Wild self. It’s one of the better fleshed-out picks on the base Smash roster that’s been here since the beginning.

These new moves are much more interesting and with timed weapons, a sword, and zoning tools you have a lot to work with. It’s a mix of old and new that makes him unique. Out of these moves, you can do quite a lot. The Link combos Smash Ultimate has shown off just how much you can do with the character. We’ll cover some of the top combos to learn here.
