The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports calendar has a lot of events, but perhaps the most prestigious two are the M World Champions and the MSC, which earlier used to be the MLBB SEA Cup. In 2024, the MSC is getting a major revamp with a new name, and more prize money, and will happen in a venue outside SEA for the first time.

Here’s what we know about the MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC) 2024.

MLBB MSC 2024: Different region and name with higher stakes

The MSC was earlier formed as a way to give teams from SEA a place to compete for glory. It featured teams from across the region, which was and continues to be the most popular region for MLBB.

However, over the past two years, MOONTON has been investing significantly into making the MOBA esports title a more global affair. These initiatives have come through LAN events in the Middle East, NA, and other regions, and also other grassroots-level tournaments.

In fact, the 2023 edition of the MSC featured a team each from MENA, North America, and Turkey. With the MSC bringing a prestigious tournament to the MLBB esports roadmap, MOONTON has rebranded it to the Mid-Season Cup in line with its vision of “Esports for Everyone” which promotes diversity and inclusion.

Now, the MLBB MSC 2024 will feature more participating regions which will include China as well. MOONTON has also confirmed that the prize pool will be higher. For comparison, the 2023 MSC had $300,000 up for grabs.

What makes the announcement even more exciting is that the MLBB MSC will now be held outside SEA for the first time. MOONTON hasn’t revealed the venue for the event yet, though.
