Most Picked CS2 Maps in FACEIT

FACEIT is where the most hardcore CS2 players often choose to play. The platform allows gamers to go beyond the CS2 ranking system and meet highly skilled players across the globe. At the start of the new year, FACEIT has released its data of the most picked CS2 maps on its platform, starting from the game’s release date on 27th September 2023.

Mirage: 34.4%
Inferno: 14.6%
Vertigo: 12.9%
Ancient: 12.8%
Anubis: 11.3%
Overpass: 7.6%
Nuke: 6.4%

These results are undoubtedly fascinating, with Mirage taking the top spot by some distance at 34.4% of matches played. This is probably the least surprising news on the list. Mirage is one of the best CS2 maps, and you often see it played frequently on the pro circuit, with most teams having it in their map pool.

Another interesting tidbit is the newest map in the pool, Anubis, is still struggling for popularity in the bottom three at 11.3% of maps played. The bottom two do come as a surprise to us, though. At 7.6% is the overhauled Overpass, which isn’t proving popular among FACEIT players. Sat right at the bottom is Nuke (6.4%), one of the oldest Counter-Strike maps of all. Has this dog had its day?

Comparing these to the most picked CS2 maps across Premier yields some interesting results. A few weeks back, Leetify shared the most picked CS2 maps in Premier, according to data across games tracked by the site. Mirage remains well on top, but the percentage of matches played comes down considerably among average players between it and second-place Inferno, at 23% and 18% respectively.

Mirage: 23%
Inferno: 18%
Vertigo: 14%
Overpass: 13%
Ancient: 12%
Nuke: 12%
Anubis: 8%

Overpass fans win big in Premier compared to FACEIT, with the revamped map being played in 13% of matches compared to just 7.6% in FACEIT. Nuke finds itself off the bottom spot, too, at 12%. The big loser is Anubis, which drops considerably onto the bottom spot in 8% of matches.

The data is clear. Mirage, Inferno, and Vertigo are the undisputed top of the pile, while the order of the rest is difficult to separate in competitive matches.
