We’re not even one week into 2024, and Riot Games kicks off the new year by releasing a trailer for Arcane Season 2.
Arcane Season 2 trailer – Is the theory confirmed?
Riot Games has released a new trailer for the second season of Arcane, which is confirmed to hit Netflix later this year in November.
One of the most anticipated animated series in recent years, fans are dying to learn more about the rivalry between the two sisters, Vi and Jax, as they find themselves on opposite teams in the conflict between Piltover and the underground city of Zaun.
While the trailer itself only gave us a first look, it looks like fans were correct in predicting an Arcane character to be a champion in LoL. The new trailer features Warwick, the human-turned-werewolf, as well as the mad chemist Singed, creator of the drug Shimmer.
The theory states that Warwick is the werewolf version of Vander who happens to be Vi and Jinx’s adoptive father. Introduced in the first season, Vander only appeared for a couple of episodes before his early departure. That said, it looks like he will be returning back for season 2, even though he won’t be as a human anymore. Will he become Singed’s ally? And what will happen when he faces Jinx and Vi? We will likely get to see those interactions in the second season.
According to Arcane’s creators, Christian Linke and Alex Yee, the second season will have two keywords: “War” and “Rubicon”, hinting at the potential collision between Zaun and Piltover. However, given the presence of other regions in Runeterra, there is a chance we get to see more characters involved in the story. Luckily, fans will all their answers later this year, in November. The exact date is yet to be confirmed.
