A new season is starting and this means that the LEC will also be back, as the league officially starts on January 13. While the rosters are getting ready to take the action on the Rift, Riot just revealed the broadcast lineup that will guide the fans throughout the Winter Split.

Some of the casters missing from last year’s lineup

If you’re a hardcore LEC fan, you might be a bit disappointed to see some of your favorite names missing. Aside from Caedrel who has chosen to pursue his streaming career and Yamatocannon who will be coaching Karmine Corp, the other big absence comes from Trevor ‘Quickshot’ Henry.

Nonetheless, new faces join the LEC

With some of the “old guards” leaving the broadcast, the LEC is welcoming new faces with lots of potential. The first one is Hysterics, who previously worked as a caster for the LPL English broadcast in the past few years. During Worlds 2023, he also cast some of the Swiss stage games as a play-by-play. Just like Dagda and Jamada, Hysterics joins after his experience on the LPL broadcast team.

The other “new face” is Eragon, who was previously an esports player in the NLC. After spending some time casting the league last season, he will now have the chance to show his in-game knowledge on the LEC team.

If you follow VALORANT, you might already know who Giniro is. If you haven’t, she has been working as a host and caster in the VALORANT scene for the past two years. Her most recent appearance was as a host for the VCT Game Changers Championship.
