Even though the former heroes are the new villains in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, there’s an even more monstrous villain behind it all: Brainiac! But who is he actually?

What’s going on in Suicide Squad?  The “Kill the Justice League” in the title of the game is to be taken literally. Because the only heroes of the League have all become cruel psychopaths who mercilessly let loose and have no scruples whatsoever. Superman kills people at random and even Batman, who never kills anyone else, treacherously assassinates innocent people

But why do the heroes behave so crudely? The reason is the supervillain Brainiac. But who is he? In the following paragraphs, you can find out more about the ultimate threat in the game, against whom even the Suicide Squad must do everything in their power to prevail in the end.

Brainiac – Alien Tyrant

Who is this actually?  Brainiac is not a nerdy supervillain-wannabe, but a ruthless alien. He travels through space in his huge, skull-shaped spaceship and has now reached Earth. There he has parked his ship above Metropolis and either killed the inhabitants or turned them into his hideous servants. Only a few survivors remain and they too are mercilessly hunted down, transformed or simply killed by Brainiac’s minions.

Mysterious platforms and objects have also sprung up all over the city, creating a kind of whirlwind. To make matters worse, gigantic grappling arms are plowing through the metropolis and more monsters are lurking everywhere.

Brainiac’s control is absolute. He controls everything in Metropolis and that includes its defenders. For when the heroes of the Justice League opposed him and his invasion, they too were gradually corrupted by Brainiac and turned into hideous distortions of themselves.

So Superman became a cruel tyrant, Batman a ruthless killer, the Flash an even more annoying nuisance and Green Lantern a nasty sadist. Only Wonder Woman seems to have escaped Brainiac’s control, while the rest of the Justice League continues to tighten its grip in Brainiac’s service.

What can Brainiac do? Brainiac himself is an alien life form that uses all kinds of cybernetic implants to connect to the technology on his ship. He can also control the huge mechanical tentacles that snake around Metropolis. Brainiac can also attack everything and everyone in Metropolis directly from his ship.

In addition, Brainiac is extremely intelligent and his plans are often several steps ahead of his enemies. So whatever you do in the game, assume that Brainiac has already devised a plan against it.

Brainiac’s cruelest and most terrifying ability, however, is his powerful psionic force. He can control and corrupt other beings with the power of his mind. He has apparently done this with the Justice League, not controlling them directly, but corrupting their minds to such an extent that they follow him of their own free will and their once noble sentiments have been completely perverted. 

Since this process is apparently incurable, there is only one solution: the killing of the former heroes, as the title of the game foreshadows.
