Pokémon UNITE upcoming Pokémon and new entries in 2024

Pokémon UNITE has a very extensive roster, but it doesn’t have all of them. With Scarlet and Violet out, the national Pokédex has surpassed 1,000 entries. UNITE does not have quite that many, but they do have plenty to choose from. Since the game is still very much active, it’s reasonable to assume they will continue adding characters.

Getting all 1,000+ creatures into the MOBA game is unrealistic, but there’s plenty to add from the Pokédex.

The next character up for arrival? Magikarp!

The fan favorite floundering fish and its evolved water dragon form are coming to UNITE soon. The most recent addition to the game is Metagross, who joined the game on Boxing Day.

Metagross launched with pretty underwhelming stats in the modern landscape of dangerous all-rounders and didn’t quite make the splash that fellow all-rounder newcomer Mimikyu did. Recent buffs though have catapulted it into relevancy with big shield gain that lets it stay in and brawl like an off-tank.

With Scarlet and Violet having 2 waves of DLC now, it will be interesting to see if other evolutions get added to Pokemon that have otherwise not seen changes. Its unlikely we’ll ever seek Pikachu evolve in Pokemon Unite, but with several Eeveelutions to pick from, and Pokemon like Urshifu and Scyther being able to divert evolution paths mid-game, its possible some older Pokemon could get some new life.

Duraladon has languished in the bottom tier for quite some time, and received a new evolution in the Teal Mask DLC. The Jigglypuff line also received Scream Tail as a Paradox Pokemon.
