The new PUBG 2024 Esports Roadmap just dropped. We are getting four PGS events this year, both the Nations Cup and PGC make a return.
We will also get a whole new event set to coincide with Esports World Cup in Riyadh this summer.
Let’s see what Krafton has in store for us.
PUBG Esports Roadmap 2024
All regional series and the season will officially start March 2024. This means we down at least two more months before we see some PUBG action.
All events this year apart from the Nations Cup will lead towards qualifying to the PUBG Global Championship.
PUBG Global Series (PGS) is making a return with four separate events, each of them rewarding points toward qualifying for PGC. Each PGS has 300k in prize funds guaranteed. The regional qualifiers for each region will combine for 14 teams plus an additional 10 guaranteed seeds for partner teams.
Theoretically a team can qualify for PGC without even qualifying for PGS events by just earning points in each regional event.
PUBG Global Series events get the following seed allocation:
APAC – 4 Seeds
Korea – 3 seeds
Americas – 3 seeds
China – 2 Seeds
EMEA – 2 Seeds
APAC is the “winningest” of the regions in terms of seeds allocation through qualifiers. Keep in mind EU and China already have three partner teams each and APAC has none. We are waiting for Krafton to announce the final two partner teams for this season.
Currently we have: 17 Gaming, 4AM, Petrichor Road, Gen.G, NAVI, FaZe Clan, Twisted Minds, and Soniqs.
Krafton also publicly states that all current partner teams are getting re-evaluated and some of them might not make the cut in the upcoming season. We will find the full list of teams by the of this month.
