There will be an extended window that’ll run from May 16 to May 22, during which teams will qualify for the event’s final stages behind closed doors. On the evening of the 26th, the victor will be crowned in front of a live audience. It’s expected to be a monumental show that’s sure to be a real treat for UK-based Rainbow Six fans – and tickets are on sale now.

Blast R6 Major is Coming to England

There’s a packed schedule ahead for Rainbow Six esports, commencing with the iconic Six Invitational. This top-tier event is taking place in Sao Paulo, Brazil between the 13th and the 25th of February, and it boasts a massive $3 million prize pool. Last year, we saw dramatic scenes unfold during 2024’s BLAST Majors, which were held in Copenhagen in May and Atlanta in November. At both of these events, w7m proved to be nigh unstoppable, lifting the trophy at both tournaments – and coming in second place during 2023’s Six Invitational.

Now, the teams that dominated the stages at these events are coming to the United Kingdom for the region’s first-ever international, arena-based R6 tournament.

In the opening stage of the Blast R6 Major in Manchester, eight teams will compete in the opening ‘Phase 1’, taking part in a modified Bo3 double-elim bracket. There will be four teams in this Phase that will proceed to the next round. In ‘Phase 2’, those four teams will join twelve others in a 16-squad Swiss bracket. Finally, there’s ‘Phase 3’, which is the portion of the tournament that’ll be played in front of a live arena audience.

As always, the action will be streamed online, but for fans in the United Kingdom, nothing will be quite like getting into the thick of the action. There are a range of passes on sale now, including VIP passes that’ll reward fans with the best seats, unique merchandise, and fast-track access to certain areas.
