Skins and in-game cosmetics have been a part of free-to-play multiplier games for a long time. Games such as Fortnite made the concept of a battle pass mainstream. A game like VALORANT realized that they could do the same to make a lot more revenue from the game. There are certain games that are pay-to-win but VALORANT isn’t. A weapon skin only provides certain animations and features to admire as cosmetic accessories. What if a player doesn’t want a certain skin after buying it? Can they refund the skin in VALORANT in 2024? In this article, let’s take a look at how it is possible to get a refund on a skin in VALORANT.

How to refund a skin in VALORANT In 2024?

Riot Games frequently adds new and exciting skins to the game. Many times, in the launch of a new skin, the player impulsively buys it in the game.

Thus, VALORANT has provided a method for players to refund a skin if they feel like they don’t wish to own it anymore. One must also note that unlike CS2, skins in VALORANT are not tradable on a market. There are some exceptions on refunds, though. Below are some items that players cannot get a refund on:

Used weapon skins
Upgraded weapon skins
Used in-game content (Gun Buddies, Player Cards, etc.)
Character contract levels
Weapon skin levels
Weapon skin bundles
Premium Battle Passes
Premium Battle Pass levels
Radianite points

Below are all the steps players need to follow to get a refund:

Open the internet browser of your choice.
Head towards the Riot Games website.
Players will need to log in with the credentials of the account that the player used to buy the skins on their PC.
Search for the ‘My Order History’ section that is present in the menu.
All purchases made by the player in the game will be listed there with the Refund option right beside each of the players’ purchases.
Click on the Refund button, The website will launch the game’s client on the players’ device for a quick patch, after which the refunds will be made in-game.
