With the recent Counter-Strike 2 update that was shipped to the game on February 14th, Valve has finally addressed the community’s repeated complaints about the missing bomb commands in CS2.
For the uninitiated, back in the days of CS:GO, players used to be able to assign custom values to their bob. In case you’re unfamiliar with what bob is, it simply refers to the amount of movement animation that you’ll see on your hands and weapon when you’re walking or running in the game. With the upgrade to Counter-Strike 2, the bob console commands were removed from the game, which led to frustration and backlash in the community.
The latest CS2 update saw the devs re-implementing bob commands into the game, and players of the shooter can change their viewmodel animation speeds once again.
CS2 Bob Commands: How To Change Bob in Counter Strike 2?
Players can change the bob values of CS2 using a simple console command.
Let’s take a look at how you can do it yourself:
- Enable developers console from your game settings.
- Press the tilde (~) key on your keyboard to open the console.
- Type ‘cl_usenewbob 0’ in the console (without the quotation marks).
- Press enter.
While players are still unable to assign custom values to the CS2 bob command like in CS:GO, this newly added console command enables you to revert your bob animation to the CS:GO style.
That’s everything you need to know about how to change bob values in Counter Strike 2.
