Ubisoft has uncovered the full twelve-month-long roadmap for the ninth year of Rainbow Six Siege, and it’s a doozy. Four seasons are coming through 2024, each of which is bursting at the seams with changes, quality-of-life improvements, and new features. This news comes mere hours after the ending of the most popular esports tournament in Rainbow Six history, the Six Invitational, which unfolded in a truly memorable fashion in Brazil this past weekend.

In the detailed roadmap, Ubisoft gives fans of the flagship shooter franchise a key insight into what’s coming in the months ahead. There’s a list of features broken down by a series of categories: major features, player protection, balancing, player comfort, and onboarding. It’s a solid testament to Ubisoft’s dedication to Rainbow Six Siege, which seems to just be getting more popular with each passing day.

Six Siege Year 9 Roadmap Revealed

First, players will be getting access to Operation Deadly Omen, which was revealed during the closing stages of the Six Invitational in Sao Paulo. That includes a new Operator, changes to attachments, ADS, and shield mechanics, a new inventory mode called Locker, and a series of changes across all categories. That’s just the beginning, though.

Following Operation Deadly Omen, players will start to soak up everything else that Year 9 has to offer, including:

Improved moderation mechanics and ban enforcement

All along the way, there will be new battle passes to unlock and Operator vouchers handed out by Ubisoft. There’s a dense competitive roadmap in store for Rainbow Six Siege, too. That includes the first-ever BLAST R6 Major to take place in the United Kingdom, which will unfold in Manchester in May. Following a record-breaking Six Invitational, esports fans the world over are hyped about the future of Rainbow Six Siege. It might be almost a decade old, but Ubisoft refuses to slow down the development of the game.
