With the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 set to begin tomorrow, Russian roster 9Pandas have been replaced by GamerLegion at the eleventh hour. 9Pandas have been able to field an eligible roster in Copenhagen according to PGL’s deadline of teams being in the country by March 14th, thanks to ongoing visa issues. Despite PGL extending the deadlines for 9Pandas, they have still only managed to get three eligible players into the country.

Devastation for 9Pandas

The development is pure devastation for 9Pandas, who fought their way through the Last Chance Qualifier of the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 EU RMR, even beating Astralis along the way. It’s veteran player seized who will perhaps be the most frustrated – he was set to attend his first Major since ELEAGUE Major Boston 2018.

Instead, he’ll be replaced by Snax‘s GamerLegion – another legend of the game. GamerLegion was the runner-up in the Last Chance Qualifier of the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 EU RMR, so if one team has to replace 9 Pandas, this is definitely the fairest way to do so. As finalists of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, it would have been strange to see the first CS2 Major without GamerLegion.

Still no PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 stickers

Given it’s now just one day before the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, it’s certainly a huge surprise to see that stickers aren’t yet available in-game. It was rumored that some players were having issues with getting their autograph stickers approved, but now, it seems as though the real reason has revealed itself.

It’s unlikely that Valve will ever release the 9Pandas stickers, which were already in the game files. Now, the mad dash begins for the developer to get GamerLegion stickers and autographs into the game before the tournament begins tomorrow.
