Paradox Interactive announced last night that the Crusader Kings III expansion Royal Court will soon be released for consoles. So in May, gamers on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 will also be able to manage their court.

Last March the console version of Crusader Kings III was released, and since then Paradox Interactive has had to do some catching up to port the DLCs to the new platforms. This also applies to the expansion Royal Court, which was released last February. As the studio now announces, the release of the DLC is already scheduled for 17 May for Xbox Series and PlayStation 5.

The Royal Court expansion of Crusader Kings III lets you enter your own throne room  This place is a representation of your power, so you can make an impression there with various displays of your governing power. These include extravagant furnishings or high quality food.

In this display, the new inventory system is also useful, equipping you with special weapons, armour and insignia. You can use these to improve your skills and abilities.
You can also Hold Court, which allows you to experience new interactions with vassals and courtiers. Also inspired people such as artists, craftsmen and thinkers can be invited. By working on your projects, they can enrich your farm with treasures and artefacts

Last but not least, with the new expansion you also have the possibility to create hybrid cultures by following the path of cultural deviation. Break away from time-honoured cultures and embrace new features of your multicultural world that you can customise specifically to your population and geography.
