The Street Fighter League Japan is one of the biggest esports tournaments for the fighter outside of the Capcom Cup. It’s returning for another season in 2023, this time it’s going to be played on Street Fighter 6! The team-based fighting League has just had its full list of competitors unveiled for the new season.

Street Fighter 6 League Japan

Street Fighter 6 League is going to be coming back for the new season. This is a different type of Street Fighter competition. Players are grouped into teams and go head-to-head along with their teammates. Fighters are often focused on solo efforts, so the Street Fighter 6 League Japan is a nice alternative and a different approach to fighting game esports.

The tournament has had its full line-up unveiled. It’s going to begin with nine teams in the first stage. They’ll compete in a round-robin format before narrowing things down to six teams in the second stage.

36 players will be taking part in the event, although notable player Daigo is not taking part this time around. Plenty of big players are sticking around though. That includes some major names from previous years of the League. These are all of the teams that will be taking part.

This new season for the Street Fighter 6 League Japan is going to be a fun tournament for the opening of the new game. It’s starting up in July, so pretty close to the Street Fighter 6 release date. Players won’t have long to try and master the new mechanics in the title.
