LoL Patch 13.12 Notes Overview

Patch 13.11 put the focus on nerfing and balancing out some of the most overpowered items and champions after the mid-season changes. Just like we expected, there were higher levels of volatility and imbalances across different roles, with some champions performing better than others.

Now that things should be more in line, we might expect a smaller patch this time around. Some champions are definitely going to be tagged, but the number of changes shouldn’t be as high as previous patches. We’ll continue to update the information on Patch 13.12 in the upcoming days.

Based on the changes, there are going to be some champions on the radar: one of them is Rell, who received her mid-scope update. She should be performing better than she used to so we’ll have to see whether Riot over-tuned her.

Rek’Sai also received some love from some major buffs: she might be one of the junglers rising in popularity in Patch 13.11. While I don’t think she’s overpowered in her state, the numbers will give us more context and information to assess her power.

Another champion worth looking into is Kalista, who received a number of buffs that will definitely push her up the ranks. If high Elo players start realizing her power, we might see her heavily increase her presence in solo queue.

How will the upcoming patch impact the meta?

It’s still early to make any judgment on the patch since Patch 13.11 just came out. We’re going to likely see new champions on the rise now that some of the strongest champions (like Amumu) and Youmuu’s Ghostblade are nerfed. For now, however, players will have to wait and see which changes the developers are planning to work on, and the direction they want to take going forward.
