Gentlemen, start your engine! October 2023 rolls around for the latest Forza game, and it’s flexing those Xbox graphics muscles
PS pros take note: At the Xbox Showcase, Microsoft has just confirmed the release date for Forza Motorsport . If you have been itching for a long time, you can mark October 10, 2023 red in your automotive calendar.
We don’t really get to see much new in the brand new trailer – but that doesn’t matter at all! Because what was already clear for a long time is impressively underpinned in the new film: Forza Motorsport will probably be the most beautiful racing game to date.
Great details and graphics splendour thanks to ray tracing
The scenes shown are footage from the game, so it’s not one of those inglorious in-engine trailers that are usually not representative of the final product later on. What is immediately noticeable are the detailed cockpits of the cars, including realistic head movements when braking and accelerating.
We also get a first glimpse of the tuning. As is typical for the series, you can pimp your cars down to the smallest detail in order to burn new lap records into the asphalt afterwards. With more than 500 cars and over 20 race locations, you’ll have your hands full!
Okay, we’ve already praised the graphics several times, but finally a note for owners of a powerful PC or Xbox Series X: Forza Motorsport should flicker across your screen in 4K with 60 frames per second despite ray tracing support!
With the Xbox, Starfield and PCGaming shows, there are many more exciting announcements and trailers. To make sure you don’t miss a single reveal, tune in to our live ticker and get up close and personal.
