If you’ve ever wanted to explore a believable medieval world with friends, you should take a closer look at Pax Dei, for which a new trailer has been released.

New footage of the medieval MMO Pax Dei was shown at the PC Gamer Show. As in previous trailers, the focus was once again on the game world, which offers you an atmospheric medieval setting.

We have summarised the most important information for you. If you would rather see the new gameplay material for yourself first, you are of course free to do so:

From home to the wide world

In Pax Dei you are to roam in a credible world. This also means that you do not travel endlessly as a radiant hero, but have your own house to which you can and must return again and again. Because your home must be looked after and also expanded over time.

If you are in the mood for adventure, you will find all kinds of dungeons and other places in the vastness of the game world that will tell you their story about the surroundings. So you really have to get to grips with the alien environment to understand it in its entirety.

Optically, you can expect a setting strongly based on medieval Europe  However, this does not mean that there are no supernatural elements in Pax Dei. Within the framework of so-called folklore, there will be numerous quests that deal with ancient folk tales.
The hand to realism also continues with armour and weapons. So don’t expect to find players covered in all sorts of spikes and magic runes.

(Pax Dei is all about credibility, which is why armour and weapons also look unusually unadorned.)

Limitless interaction with other players

One thing that the developers emphasise is the cooperation with other adventurers in Pax Dei. From the first minute in the game, you can communicate with each other, trade, wander around – or fight each other in the context of PvP – without limitations.

When you form guilds, togetherness becomes even more important. While one makes sure that there is enough wood in the common dwelling, the other has to get food or forge new armour.

By the way, there is no level progression and consequently no classic endgame. You become stronger by exploring the world, by cooperating with other players and by setting your own goals, for example in terms of crafting.

When is it coming out? There is no official release date for Pax Dei yet.

With the Xbox, Starfield and PCGaming shows, there are many more exciting announcements and trailers.
