The multiplayer shooter XDefiant could cause a big stir with its closed beta. At the Ubisoft Forward on 12 June 2023, a new trailer was released showing new gameplay and the reactions of players of the closed beta. In the presentation it was also revealed that there will be an open beta and in which time period the game will be released.

When will the open beta start?

From 21 June 2023 all people can finally enjoy the Free2PLay shooter within the framework of an open beta. However, you should hurry up, because the free test phase only lasts until 23 June To find out whether the beta is interesting for you, just watch the new trailer:

When should the game be released?

When exactly the full game will be released is not known at this time. However, a release is planned for this summer. So you don’t have to wait too much longer.

What is XDefiant?

XDefiant is an upcoming free-to-play first-person arena shooter from Ubisoft. The game was praised by participants of the beta especially for the abundance of content, the mini-map, the clear menu navigation and the imaginatively designed maps. In addition, there is no skill-based matchmaking, which was also received rather positively overall, as it really gives you the feeling of getting better.

Some technical problems and the unsatisfactory balancing were criticised. However, these inconsistencies will most likely be fixed by the time of release.

The Ubisoft Forward marks the finale of a hot E3 period – and without E3 at all! The Summer Game Fest featured numerous shows and events with hundreds of trailers, new announcements and much more.
