The new update for Cyberpunk 2077 fixes quest bugs, technical problems and other small bugs. Housecleaning before the big DLC, so to speak. We have all the patch notes.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in the phase where it takes a deep breath before the big jump. On 26 September 2023, the big story addon Phantom Liberty will be released, at the same time as a massive free update for the complete base game. Now the new patch 1.63 sweeps it clean again before it gets down to the nitty gritty.

The patch notes contain many fixed quest bugs, but also graphics glitches that could spoil the fun of the game so far. We have summarised the most important changes for you, you can find the complete patch notes in German on page 2 of this article.

This is what patch 1.63 changes to Cyberpunk 2077

Patch 1.63 has been available for download since 20 June. It is a smaller update that does not bring any new content, but fixes bugs. But there are quite a few of them, for example this one:

Sometimes there were serious bugs in important main quests like Gimme Danger (mission series with Takemura), I Walk the Line (mission on behalf of the Voodoo Boys) and Never Fade Away (quest with Rogue) that made it impossible to complete the quest. Hopefully not anymore!

In addition, sometimes available quests on the map were not revealed even though you were close enough.

It could happen that during money transfer you were incorrectly shown the message “Enemy hack in progress”.

Other fixed bugs were related to path tracing and DLSS – when activated, colour flashes and artefacts could occur.
