Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is the PS5 version of the title that was so popular in the least gen. As an Ultimate edition, it has all of the content included across the original game, which features one of the most sprawling spreads of Mortal Kombat characters we’ve ever seen included. Gameplay is a little looser than some past games in the series, but MK still has the gory fatalities and tense combos in the game too.

Mortal Kombat 11 is getting a sequel too, the weirdly titled Mortal Kombat 1. We might see that game eclipse this as one of the best PS5 fighting games soon!

Finishing up the best PS5 fighting game is Street Fighter 6. This is a game that takes full advantage of the new hardware for great visuals, insane response times, and one of the best feeling systems for combat we’ve ever seen in the series.
