With less than two weeks left in the LPL Summer regular split, here are some of the most exciting stats or takeaways.
LPL Summer 2023 Split – Highlighting stats
It’s a tough battle for the top of the KDA leaderboard
While KDAs do not show the entire picture of a player or how he behaves in-game, it can be still indicative to look at the numbers. So far in the LPL 2023 Summer Split, the player with the highest KDA is JDG Ruler, topping the rankings with a 7.2 KDA (5.2/1.5/5.7), according to the stat site Games of Legends.
Behind him, there is WBG Light (4.5/1.3/4.2) and BLG Xun, who are sitting at 6.8 KDA (4.4/1.8/7.1) and 6.4 (2.1/1.5/7.2) KDA respectively. Unless JDG have a massive downfall in the last week, Ruler should be able to defend his title (he had the top KDA in Spring as well).
Two players average more than 2000 gold difference each game
Speaking of Ruler and outstanding stats, the Korean ADC is also the player with the highest average gold differential in the league, at +2,458 gold, according to lpl.qq.com. The only other player that comes close to him is his teammate Knight at +2,118 gold. Just to show how much of a gap JDG has all over the rest of the team, the third-best player is BLG Elk at a +1,646 gold differential.

JackeyLove – the backbone of TES
It’s common to see ADC top the damage leaderboard but JackeyLove is bringing that to an all-new level. The Chinese ADC takes up more than one-third of the team’s entire damage output, boasting a 34.5% damage share, according to Games of Legends. Whenever a teamfight is about to break out, you know he will be ready to carry his team and lead them with his DPS.
One champion is banned in 8 out of 10 games
Drafts always play a major role in the overall results and outcome in LoL and there are always going to be some priority picks set by the meta. Up until now, Milio has been the most banned champion in the Chinese league, having a nearly 80% ban rate in more than 200 games. Considering the power and utility he can bring to teamfights, it’s likely he will maintain similar numbers until the end of the split.
The most picked champion in the LPL is a marksman
While Milio is the most banned, one of its best partners Aphelios is the most-picked ADC in the league. Not only does he bring insane DPS in the late-game teamfights but he also has great versatility thanks to the five different weapons he can wield.
He currently has a 70% pick rate and given his popularity, that number might even go up in the last weeks of play.
Three teams stand above the rest when it comes to First Blood
We all know how the LPL is known for its aggression and early-game action compared to other major regions but there is one team who stands above the rest when it comes to scoring First Blood. While it’s not a super indicative stat, being able to find strong early advantage is definitely worth the praise, especially when it’s one of the top two teams in the league.
BLG currently have a 67.9% first blood rate, according to stat site Games of Legends, slightly higher than LNG Esports (66.7%), and Royal Never Give Up (61.5%). They are consistently able to find early kills and in particular, LNG Esports is able to use that lead to also open up the map, having the second-highest first tower rate as well (63%).
The shortest game lasted a little over 20 minutes
JDG have been a dominant force in the LPL but even they haven’t been able to take a game in less than 20 minutes. 20:13 was the fastest record so far in the victory against NIP. With how competitive the LPL has been and a focus on scaling picks, it’s unlikely we will be seeing a sub-20-minute game going forward.

43:34 is the longest game registered this split so far
Speaking of game duration, games haven’t been that long either. The longest game played was Game 2 in the series between TES vs EDG which saw the former come out on top and led to their reverse sweep.
Scout continues to hard carry LNG
The Korean mid laner is keeping up his form from the previous split, registering the highest number of MVPs once again this season. He has already reached double digits with 11 MVPs. Even though it’s unlikely he will be able to repeat last season’s feat (with 17 MVPs), Scout is probably going to be No. 1 again this summer.
6 champions with a 100% win rate
Even though these champions are rarely played, they have been able to maintain a perfect win rate. Yone, Bel’Veth, Vayne, Cho’Gath, Nidalee, and Ziggs are the six champions still undefeated. Among them, only Ziggs and Nidalee have been played more than once (4 games on Ziggs, 3 games on Nidalee).
