Call of Duty is going on the content offensive again with Season 4 Reloaded, which is all about The Boys. You can find out everything about the new update in our overview.
Update from 12 July
Just before the launch of Season 4 Reloaded in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 numerous fans on the net are apparently venting frustration and anger over the upcoming content.
On Reddit, complaints are piling up that the roadmap is overloaded with paid content such as skin bundles, but the crossover with The Boys is also being criticised.
TheRealPdGaming erases all shop bundles from the roadmap and posts the image with the comment “Season 4 Reloaded without bundles looks bleak”. It earns a lot of encouragement.
Legionnairy1 criticises The Boys crossover: “This is the dumbest snot they”ve ever made. And I actually love The Boys.” It gets almost 100 upvotes.
Gacham50 has balance concerns about the new superpowers: “Keep the operator skins but the field upgrades are a terrible idea. Imagine shooting someone and they just teleport away.”
Original message of 11 July
There”s CoD replenishment again: as usual, a mid-season Reloaded update launches with new content – and this time there”s a big crossover with Amazon”s hit series The Boys. You can read about the details of the whole thing and when it will start here.
Start date of Season 4 Reloaded
On Wednesday, July 12 the new update and content like new maps, weapons & operators will go live. The exact timing looks like this:
Launch: 6 pm German time
End: Expected 2 August
New Map: Vondel Waterfront
With Vondel Waterfront, the last map of Season 4 for the regular 6vs6 multiplayer is now released. It is a part from the Vondel map that had appeared in Season 4 for the DMZ mode.
New weapon: MX Guardian
The new MX Guardian Shotgun adds a new weapon to the arsenal. It is based on the real IWI Tavor TS12 and has three separate and rotating tubular magazines. It is unlocked via a new challenge in Season 4 Reloaded”s Battle Pass.
Coop: Raid Finale
The final episode of the co-op raids kicks off in Season 4 Reloaded. This will conclude the Special Ops storyline in MW2. By completing the final raid, you can earn a new Operator skin for Farah.
Crossover with The Boys
Season 4 Reloaded is all about The Boys. In line with the (hopefully upcoming, but still unknown) start of the fourth season on Amazon Prime Video, the characters of the show make their way into CoD as operators.
The following new characters are available in the in-game shop: Starlight (from 12 July), Homelander (from 16 July), Black Noir (from 20 July).
In addition, the drug Temp V, known from the series, will be coming to all Warzone playlists as a Field Upgrade. Those who inject themselves with the experimental serum will briefly receive one of the following superpowers:
Charge Jump: Extremely high jumps, shockwave on landing.
Electric Shockwave: Electric explosion that causes damage in the perimeter.
Laser Vision: Fires laser eyes in line of sight.
Teleport: Teleports the user into the air/upwards
New in Warzone 2
The DMZ map Vondel, added at the start of Season 4, will also be opened up for regular Battle Royale with the Reloaded patch.
The classic Warzone 2 will then be playable in Quads, Trios, Duos and Solos. A new Gulag has also been set up especially for this. The Resurgence mode will be moved from Vondel to Ashika Island.
