It is almost set in stone that a remaster of Quake II will be released. According to a rumor, the game could be officially announced in just a few days.

At the end of last month, there was already an age rating of the Quake II remaster in South Korea. Now the French site Dealabs claims to have documents from the ESRB and PEGI, which provides more details about the shooter.
The game is supposed to be released only under the title Quake II and will be officially announced during this year’s QuakeCon (August 10-13).

As Dealabs goes on to describe, Quake II, like its predecessor is slated for release on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Having already released the first part for last-gen consoles, this move only seems to make sense for the sequel. EA and Respawn are doing a similar thing with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Xbox gamers in particular should be pleased, as the shooter is also expected to make its way into Game Pass. Whether Dealabs is right with his prediction, we will probably find out in the course of the next week.
