The MLBB Professional League (MPL) Indonesia 2023 has once again set a viewership record as the most viewed esports tournament for July 2023, per Esports Charts. The franchised esports league for Indonesia, currently in its 12th season, is happening from July 12 to Oct. 15 at the MPL in Jakarta. 

 

MLBB MPL Indonesia match between RRQ and EVOS Legends is the most watched esports match in July 2023

Currently, the regular season is underway as the nine teams compete in a double round-robin format. On July 29, EVOS Legends and RRQ locked horns. 

The series was an intense one. EVOS began it on the right foot with a victory and looked set to close the series in match two. However, RRQ weren’t going down without a fight. With an even draft, both teams juggled kills and turrets. The match eventually went on to nearly 32 minutes with RRQ coming out on top. RRQ were then able to clutch the series with a victory in the third match. 

The series achieved a peak of 2.1 million viewers, making it the most-watched competition of July 2023. Currently, three weeks of the MPL Indonesia Regular Season have concluded with five more to go. The overall standings so far are as follows:

On the basis of the regular season, the top two teams will receive a bye in the Playoffs. The top two teams from the Playoffs will be the Indonesian representatives at the MLBB M4 World Championship.
