The First Descendant already uses the brand new Unreal Engine 5.2 and looks bombastic. Soon you’ll be able to see it for yourself

The whole world is interested in how game XYZ would look like in Unreal Engine 5. And yes, we are anything but innocent. But honestly, look how awesome this castle looks in Unreal Engine 5!

What does this introduction have to do with The First Descendant? So much! Because the Korean multiplayer shooter doesn’t give a damn about the dull 5 and is already based on the still dewy engine version 5.2! That alone doesn’t make a nice game, of course, but the Nexon team seems to have a good handle on the game’s construction kit, as the first screenshots prove.

You’ll soon be able to try out The First Descendant for yourself. We have all the info for you ready.

What is The First Descendant about?

The third-person shooter is all about co-op action. You go out together with up to four friends or strangers and explore a sci-fi world overrun by aliens. As the eponymous descendants, you are responsible for cleaning up the environment populated by hordes of enemies and huge boss monsters.

You’ll have several characters at your disposal, each of them with their own abilities and individual fighting style. And as befits this genre, lots of loot and upgrading your skills also play a big part in the gameplay spiral.

If you want to learn even more about The First Descendant firsthand, you should check out the (new developer video) on the official website.
