Team Spirit are withdrawing from the much-anticipated BetBoom Dacha tournament. The organization took to Twitter to share the news, citing their inability to present a full team for the competition as the primary reason. This unexpected turn of events has paved the way for the North American team, TSM, to step in as their replacement.

The BetBoom Dacha LAN event is scheduled to be held in Yerevan, Armenia, from September 10th to 16th, 2023.

Team Spirit’s statement expressed their regrets:

“We are forced to announce that our Dota 2 roster will not be able to participate at BetBoom Dacha in full. Therefore, we have decided to decline participation in the tournament.”

They extended their gratitude to the event organizers and sent their best wishes to the competing teams.

Teams set to compete at BetBoom Dacha include:

Gaimin Gladiators
BetBoom Team
9Pandas
Team Aster
Quest Esports
Beastcoast
TSM
Nigma Galaxy (online qualifier winner)

Interestingly, Team Spirit refrained from specifying which of their players would be absent from the event. This comes after their remarkable victory at the Riyadh Masters 2023, where they bagged a staggering prize of $5,000,000. The BetBoom Dacha event had initially invited seven teams, with one slot reserved for the winner of an online qualifier held from August 7th to 13th, 2023. Nigma Galaxy emerged victorious in this qualifier, besting Level Up with a 3-0 score.

The event’s format comprises a group stage followed by a double elimination playoff bracket. Only the top four contenders will share the prize money, with the champions taking home $150,000. This tournament serves as a significant third-party LAN event, bridging the gap between the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2023 season’s last Major and The International 12 (TI12).
