Riot Games has just confirmed a revamp of the map ‘Breeze’ in Valorant, and it’s all set to be introduced to the competitive shooter alongside the upcoming Episode 7 Act 2 update.

Starting from the next Act, Breeze will be a part of the active map pool of Valorant, which means that players will be able to play the map in Competitive once again once the update hits the live servers.

Unfortunately, fans will have to bid farewell to Fracture and Pearl for the time being. The devs have stated that the two maps will be removed from the map pool with the Episode 7 Act 2 update. However, they’re likely to be added back into the game in a future Act.

Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 Update: All Breeze Changes

Riot Games has confirmed a number of interesting changes to Breeze as the company gears up to reintroduce the map into competitive play. Let’s take a look at all the new Breeze changes that we know of so far:

  • The size of the Mid area has been reduced significantly, leaving Attackers with much less room to wrap around the giant pillar. Defenders will have an easier time holding down the choke point in mind, but they’ll have to remain wary as their enemies can still choose to jump on top of the newly-added boxes to catch them off-guard
  • The A-site of Breeze has received some massive changes. The entrance to the A-site from Halls has been closed off for the Attackers, who will now have to route to the bombsite through the shop. The Cave area has also been blocked off, leaving Attackers with even fewer options.
  • The B-site and the Mid doors have also received some changes which will undoubtedly impact the way gunfights are taken in those areas. However, they aren’t as significant as the A-site changes.

The new and updated Breeze will be added to Valorant alongside the upcoming Episode 7 Act 2 update on August 29, 2023.
