Street Fighter 6 has just had its next fighter confirmed and unveiled. We’ve known who the Street Fighter 6 DLC characters will be for a while, but not their exact release windows. Coming just a few months after Rashid hit SF 6, we’ve now got the Street Fighter 6 Aki release date confirmed and locked in! This is when the new character will be hitting the game and what to expect from them in SF 6.

Street Fighter 6 Aki Release Date

We’re now about three months in from the first Street Fighter 6 release date but content has been coming pretty regularly. There are updates to the store and other areas pretty frequently. However, bigger new fighters are the most exciting additions. The latest is going to be Aki, another fighter making their debut in the Street Fighter franchise.

The Street Fighter 6 Aki release date has been confirmed as September 27th. A new update will be hitting in the later part of 2023. It will include other changes but most importantly the update is set to introduce a brand-new character to the game in Aki.

Aki is a Street Fighter character who is centered around posion and snakes. Her attacks deal damage gradually which is a pretty unique mechanic for SF 6. If she ends up being a higher-tier character in SF 6, we’ll likely see some more strategic plays using her moveset.

The new character will be a part of the Year 1 character pass. Everyone who has already purchased this for Rashid or the deluxe and ultimate editions of the game will get her unlocked. If not, she is also available to purchase separately. Players can also try the new character out using the rental tickets. Perfect if you want to try it out without committing first.
