Counter-Strike 2 is getting a major new update that revises the competitive mode Premiere . This mode now has an active mandatory pick-ban system, and the results of your matches in this mode will affect your new rating. In addition, ability groups are now calculated per map

If you don’t feel ready for Premiere matches yet, you can work on your skills for specific maps. The trailer emphasises that you have to earn your rank  The update should therefore increase the long-term gameplay for all those who enjoy statistics.

Those who participate in the test phase of Counter-Strike 2 can try out the changes since 31 August. All others will get them directly with the release still in summer 2023
