The action role-playing game Last Epoch is considered by many to be a worthwhile insider tip. Now the final release is approaching in leaps and bounds; update 0.9.2 is already well underway.

When a game about time travel nears release, the desire to weave petty puns into one’s text may awaken in the common scribbler.

But not so at GlobalESportNews: We cover Last Epoch as professionally and dispassionately as the action role-playing game deserves. After all, we don’t want to waste your time …. Damn it!

Ok, let’s rewind and start again like a real time traveller on the way to the grandfather paradox: Last Epoch is almost finished and this will especially please all those who are looking for an alternative to Diablo 4 with a single player focus.

The latest update to version 0.9.2, called Runes of Power, has now paved the way for the final release after four years of Early Access and numerous praises on Steam (84 percent positive reviews out of a total of almost 20,000 reviews).

For the first time, a German localisation of the texts will find its way into the game. Along the way, there is also a new character class, which is introduced in the new video:

When will Last Epoch finally be ready?

Last Epoch is completely playable offline and offers space for up to four players in the optional multiplayer mode. Alpha testing began in August 2018, and the game has been available for purchase in Early Access since April 2019. Developer Eleventh Hour Games has since committed to a release of version 1.0 in December 2023.

Last Epoch takes a unique approach to the story: You travel through time in a fantasy world with your heroes to eliminate a major threat. To do this, you pay a visit to the dinos, among others, but also visit the ancient times of the gods.
